In Slovenia, claimants to a survivor’s/widow’s pension are parents and adoptive parents of the insured person (if they were dependants of the deceased), brothers and sisters (if dependant on the deceased person until his/her death and do not have their own means of subsistence) and a divorced spouse (if he/she enjoyed the maintenance until the death of the insured person); In Estonia, the range of entitled persons for survivors’ pension is wider: parent, brother, sister, divorced spouse, a parent or guardian of a provider’s child, step-children or foster-children, step-parent or foster-parent.
